Governing Body holds the principal and senior leadership team to account to ensure children are safe and receive a high standard of education.
They do the above through termly meetings where reports on the following are considered:- principal’s overview, admissions, audits and inspections, educational visits, estates, finance, safeguarding, staffing.
An annual skills audit is carried out for Governors to ensure that training can be arranged to enable them to perform their duties to the best of their ability.

The Governing Body should, in co-operation with the principal, determine the schools general policy and provision for children with SEND. It should establish the appropriate staffing and funding arrangements and maintain a general oversight of the schools work. The Governing Body must report to the parents annually on the schools policy on SEND. It is the role of the appointed SEND Governor to ensure that these responsibilities are being met by the Governing Body.
